The world practice
has shown that the latest generation full color electronic lamp screens are
indispensable in conditions of changeable climate, extreme temperatures and
high humidity. This
is the only type of electronic displays / screens / signs capable of working
under conditions of direct sunlight, 5-10 years in the round-the-clock mode
in any weather!
Long life (approximately
20,000 hours), reliability, simple maintenance and service and modular principle
of construction are the general advantages of lamp electronic signs / displays
/ screens.
Full color
lamp electronic video screens with color palette of 65536 and 16, 7 million
colors are competing successfully with famous SONY screens. The leading advertising
companies throughout the world prefer them to all other types (E.g, Times Square
in New-York (AT&T, ITT).
Lamp screens
are the brightest and most suitable for operation facing direct sunbeams (no
other type can ensure that: in direct sunlight many screens lose color and images
become practically indistinguishable). Besides, reasonable prices and quick
assembly (from 2 to 5 months) provide additional motivation to customers.
However, there
is also a number of drawbacks - low (especially for small screens - less than
5x7m) resolution and somewhat greater energy consumption in comparison with
led signs.
It is necessary
to note that resolution is proportional to the sizes of an electronic sign /
screen / display: the bigger is the screen, the better is the resolution. The
improvement of image quality for electronic lamp displays / signs / screens
can be achieved also by reducing the distance between lamps (pitch). Lamp signs
/ screens / displays with the pitch of 2; 1.75; 1.5; 1 and 0.85 inches are now
available.
Besides, one
should always consider the concept of "minimally sufficient resolution" (for
systems with big linear dimensions). It is determined, first of all, by linear
sizes and the distance between the screen and the ground, concerning the view
level of potential spectators (for example, if the screen has linear sizes of
6x8m and is located more than 7 meters above the ground, its minimal sufficient
resolution for a TV image is 70x100 and its optimum resolution is 120x160 pixels.
If the linear sizes are 9x12m and its height is more than 10 meters, minimal
sufficient resolution for a TV image is 90x120, optimum resolution is 120x160
pixels).
Large linear
sizes of an electronic screen are especially important for the efficiency of
influencing the audience. Both sphere and the range of influence are increasing,
hence the information displayed becomes accessible to the greater audience and
has more effective influence.
Thus if you
need large bright screens (from 4x6m) for using them in round-the-clock mode
in any weather in squares, on house roofs, at central highways, etc., large
electronic full color lamp screen is unconditionally the best for you, especially
if you consider the correlation "price / features".

Technical characteristics of large full
color lamp electronic screens/ signs/displays

An average time for manufacture is 12-20 weeks.
If you have a look at the "price" section you will notice that
if you need a large electronic screen with the image area more than 35 m2 (i.e.
with the linear sizes of 5x7m), you should choose a new generation lamp full
color screen. This screen should be chosen if you need it for advertising or
informational activities on wide busy city streets, central highways, squares,
stadiums; for large concerts or meetings.
The main feature of new generation full color lamp signs / screens
/ displays is that the bigger is the size, the better is the system as a whole
- its resolution, its advertising efficiency and informational influence. And,
moreover, the less is the average price for 1 m2!!!
Besides, the prices for led signs are higher than for lamp ones
(3 000 $ - 15 000 $ more for every!!! square meter).
The prices for gas discharging screens (including CRT
type of screen - Jumbo Sony type) are also higher than for lamp systems
(2 000 $ - 25 000 $ more for each square meter!!!).
